SplinterNet is a new project that allows P2P microblogging over bluetooth to avoid government censorship. It's currently in beta and available only as an Android application. This server-less messaging is completely anonymous to prevent government retaliation. While you can send a SplinterNet message to your buddy via bluetooth, one can also post the message to the internet as well if one has access to internet. A post can contain text and image. Each screen has a "panic button" to quickly get out of the screen. Messages can be marked as important, too. Important posts are synced first.
