Twitter, as most of you know, is a social-networking and micro-blogging service that asks you one simple question: "What are you doing?" Twitter was launched in 2006 by @jack. And within a span of three years, Twitter has become the most popular micro-blogging service.

Now, how was it born? Or who are the creators? Or what happened since it was launched? Well, you don't have go through history books to find out. Manolith has come with a picture that says it all.
This illustration shows how people used to share updates and messages from UNIX powered machines and how the formation of a micro-blogging platform became inevitable after around 9 years of 'weblogging'. A well-thought-out illustration.
