Adobe has launched betas of Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder, two of the newest offerings from Adobe which claim to simplify the way designers work with Flash (and Flex). Both of the products have the CS4 interface and are feature-packed.

If you are a designer with zero knowledge of programming in Flash or Flex, then these application may be for you. These applications put designers in the driver's seat. Both FB and FC has same capabilities of CS-x applications — seamless import/export of files.

Ryan Stewart has an informative screencast on it.
Lynda.com has already come up with their share of tutorials.

Watching the screencast, it looks like they have indeed simplified the whole process of application development in Flash and Flex. It remains to be seen whether the experienced developers approve of this or not. Nevertheless it is indeed two of the best products from Adobe Labs.
